The service was really bad here. Ordered the Lamb Shank and it comes with a drink. Asked for a ginger ale but the lady serving argued there was no free drink with this! When the food arrived there were 2 big white hairs in my food. Not one but TWO!!! I think whoever is running this place needs to be careful. I think the environmental health need to check up on it. Disgusting!
Food was "good fair priced pub grub" (not fine cuisine if that is what you're looking for). Typical for a Witherspoons restaurant. Alcoholic drinks are very good prices and impressed by "bottomless coffee" (machine style, not bean to cup). Overall a pleasant experience.
Really lovely family atmosphere the food could do with being piping hot which is not always so. The staff are very helpful.A welcoming warming place to relax
8 Nov 2018 - Excellent ales at great prices. Good meal deals. Sadly the service quality has declined. Despite having 2 sets of front doors to keep the warmth in, they keep the outer doors open, so there is an icy blast each time the inner doors are opened. Too many noisy children at times.
Used to be a good place for food, drink and a chat. Now, there is barely enough staff on to serve who is there, then, the people who have been waiting in the queue patiently get outdone by the people sat at tables ordering from the app. I get the app and it's reason for existing, but the business excludes older people who may not have connected devices, and not only that, real ale drinkers HAVE to go to the bar because it's not catered for in the app. To then not provide enough staff to function at a basic level, isn't good enough, and frankly, it's not that cheap anymore where you could pass off poor customer experience for price. Will not be returning unfortunately.
