Good local mususem

Great local museum, currently with a beautiful exhibition of Matisse cut outs, but lots more to see.

Great museum with lots of interest for all ages

Hidden gem in Braintree, had a lovely morning enjoying the mixture of Braintree history and fairy tale adventure displays. The children loved how interactive it was and tried on hats, cast spells, made potions and came away learning about world war 2, rationing, Victorians and Roman's - all while having fun.

We visit this museum yearly, during the six weeks holidays when they host their themed events. My family and friends love it. The staff put in alot of hard work to transform the museum to meet the theme. My children never get bored as it is always changing. We always book in to do a workshop whilst we are there. The volunteers who run it are always attentive and friendly, they look after the children so well. It is a real hidden gem and worth a visit!
